Just some of my latest projects for uni. I can't believe in 6 weeks I will have completed my first year, time really fucking flys by. I dont know whether thats a good thing or not. I really need to save up and get the hell outta here!

I Love Cheap Shit.

Today I went on a massive op shop haul with my mum.

I bought a pair of black boots, a denim shirt, a dark purple velvet dress (which i want to take a big scoop out of the back), three vintage type t-shirts (The late Show, Captain Planet and Daffy Duck), a light blue dress (great cut), a floral vest type thing, black sheer blouse, a black leopard denim skirt, mint green nail polish, a very nice helmut and a beautiful black boater hat!

It was a very successful shopping day indeed.

P.S I'm so sick of people saying I look like Peaches Geldof. I had it twice today.

Take A Chill Pill Bitch Face

Today I decided I would browse through some local op shops, I was searching for a shirt (to turn into a dress for Shannon's 19th birthday tonight) when I stumbled across a beautiful one piece bathing suit. I was instantly in love, the material and cut of the bathers is beyond perfection in my eyes.

Unfortunately I am going to have to wait a few more months before I can wear them as it is still fucking freezing down here in Australia.

LATEST DIY PROJECT:

SO, I have stripped and sanded the fuck out of my old docs in order to contort them into the ever so sort after floral docs!

Still got a long way to go, but here are a few sneak peeks...




I have used waproo leather colour change shoe paint for the base coat (which is actually about 5 layers). I painted the flowers with a teeeeny brush and a bloody toothpick.



The hardest bit was painting the leather between the black stitching. very tedious.



Now the good thing about waproo leather paint is that the colours are intermixable so you can pretty much create whatever colour you want, which will come in handy for this project, the only problem is that each bottle sets you back about 11 bucks, but hopefully its worth it.



So in a couple of weeks (months, years) I hope to have them all coloured in and looking like these beautiful babies above.

I LOVE THIS PHOTOGRAPH. The colours are great, mad nirvana t-shirt and great dark dark lipstick. I have been wanting real deep dark black red type lipstick but have been unable to find any, must keep looking.

Went opshopping in Highett today, rode my bike and spent $$$$$$. BUT IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT. I swear something was in my favour today because there was some good shit in that store. I had a dream about a velvet dress the other night, and BAM I see the perrrrrrfect velvet dress just waiting for me. ALSO I've had my eye on a similar vest like the one below and there it was just waiting in a little corner.

Also picked up a sweeet dark green parker and some other shit.

Today

was a strange day.

I had my VCA interview at 11.40am, I kind of fucked it up, as I was walking in the door I put my bag down and my foot stepped through it and I tripped over and then it all sort of went downhill from there.

THEN, James Brett came and saved the day, we went to this strange little cafe on albert road and this asain woman gave me free fried SQUID and then tried to make me buy 6 dollars worth. not good. BUT we bought a box of fortune cookies.

THEN I bought this view finder thing for the eye, its got mirrors and you hold it to one eye and you can see all kinds of different directions. AND if you look at the pavement upside down everyone looks like there walking UPSIDE DOWN!

THEN JB bought a skateboard and I bought a really cold bottle of water. das is guuuudddd wuuuuuuun.

THEN I got home and received a REJECTION letter from RMIT Fine art........I fail.

But I will remember my readily used quote and say "FUCK IT!"

My green is your purple and your purple is my green. I was thinking today and how can you possibly describe a colour. Its red because its red, its blue because its blue, why does cold = blue, why does hot = red.

How can you describe a colour to a blind person?

I have decided that a lack of communication is highly detrimental to any relationship, and you should never assume that one knows something or some sort of vital information because you may be mislead into thinking they do WHEN THEY DONT!

Six days till my new life begins

As you may have noticed I am just really excited for what is about to unfold.

I want to watch all of the harry potter movies, a harry potter movie marathon (like hire all the movies and watch them continuously with no lights and lots of candles and lots of wine) and then read all of the Harry Potter books all over again.

Today

we drove EVERYWHERE and went to about 20 different op shops all over Melbourne. It was really fucking hot and Laura made me buy this fugly long pink skirt with flowers all over it. AND a brown sequined top AND then I stole this weird fucked up collar thing, which I think I'll wear to Kates Horror thingy but fuck really good day, yet really bad op shop day. I ALSO saw this amazing brown striped couch out the front of this place and I want to take my mum there so we can steal it.

Found a great pair of tartan pants like the ones below in Shag today, didn't have enough money to get them but I was thinking I could buy some material tomorrow and sew them:
